A fun Buffalo Avenue Day

Tuuurtle.
So my mom likes to call Martin King Jr. Day Buffalo Avenue Day instead because the street that's by my house called Martin Luther King Jr. used to be called Buffalo Ave. Ok anyways...Kimberly and I wanted to have a fun day together since we never really get to do much because of classes and nonstop h/w. So first we went to the Florida Aquarium.

This seahorse almost made me cry because it was so cute. Not just because it's a seahorse, but because it was slowly drifting down..down..down the tank, and on another sea creature of some sort no less. I didn't even notice it was a real live creature until I saw the picture on the computer. I thought he was just catching a ride on twig.

I put these sea dragons up for Claire and Andrea =)

Then Kim and I went to see the Extreme Makeover house they are building in Tampa. So thats an exciting story. On Saturday some of my family and me went to see the house. It was almost done and they were about to move in the furniture. We didn't see anyone famous like Ty (he wasn't even there that day) but it was still neat to watch. Then Leah was interviewed about coming out and seeing the action and it was on the news later that night! Coolness. Here is the house. Oh by the way, the old house was ruined when a small airplane flew right into their home and thankfully no one was in the house at the time. So here it is.

And here is Leah (and sleeping Jeremiah) getting interviewed by ABC news. This show airs on March 4th, 8pm so make sure you see it!! Maybe you'll see me in the background. Ok, go out and shoot you some buffalo!

Let's go back to the 80's

I can't believe this is the decade I was born into. So...we've been doing some garage cleaning for about 4 days and here are some lost treasures we have found. Here are my awesome pants I used to wear that have sunglasses...birds...flag kites...golf flags..shark fins?

And this lovely shirt is another piece of clothing we found. I sure wish they had 80's day at school. Maybe I'll just wear it anyway around town and represent my alphabet knowledge. Then everyone will know that i'm a top notch college student.

Vacation is over and the goose is getting fat. I don't really know what that means but it's true..somewhere. Kimberly is back in our domain and school is back in session. My first day back was a weiry day...just kidding! It was a breeze. I had Christian Evidences (apologetics class all over again!) went to chapel, played some golf (i'm 1 out of the 2 girls in that class) and then after my 4 hour break I went to my design class. Pretty rough eh? Bible, golf and art. How can it get any better than that? Tomorrow I'll have Computers, Corinthians and back to French (blah). My semester is pretty easy. I've been looking forward to my last semester since I started school because I knew it would be mostly electives and all the hard stuff would be out of the way. So I have been considering getting a part time job for the evenings, so you can shoot up a lil prayer for me when you think of it, that I'll find the right place and the right hours.

Happy New Year

Well its been a loverly winter break and there is only a week left of it. Let's see...I have slept, shopped, golfed, filled out my university application, cleaned, went to a cookie party, and watched movies. I went to busch gardens on Christmas eve (a new tradition)... So nothing too exciting you can see. I traveled to GA last weekend for the men's retreat. No, not really, I traveled up with my uncle and he went and I hung out with SA. I had such an awesome time. It was just the change in scenery I needed. Some of us girls went to Stone Mountain. I've never been there before and it was all foggy and misty, pretty kewl I thought. When we got to the top we looked at the non-existent view and used the restrooms. I just needed to take care of my sniffles and when I walked out one of the girls pointed out that I had toilet paper stuck to my shoe. It really happens!! I've seen that on movies but didn't really know that it actually happens. So I just walked back to the rest room and ripped it off. hehehe. Ok..anyway, it was fun.

After stone mountain SA and I partied at B + CP's house. Then on Sunday we went to church, partied at D +PP's, and I went to my first watch night service ever. It was a great way to start off the new year.
Happy new year everyone. God bless. Tomorrow I attempt once again the annual garage clean out, should be exciting.
