Lecture Week

Alright Claire...a new post 2 years later. Sorry about my stale blog. Tonight is the night to freshen it up a little since the Sabbath is finally here. Well this week has been one of the highlight weeks of the school semester. It has been "lecture week" and I surrived it. It reminded me alot of the feast. We had people from all the over the United States coming to Tampa and some gave lectures. The theme of the week was "Portraits of Isaiah." Bible classes, p.e. classes, and chapel were cancelled, which was great for me. All week I only had 1 or 2 classes to go to a day. I made it to 3 lectures. The first was about a sunday school curriculum that a church made up and it got me inspired. Now I want to put up some interactive bill boards in my classroom...but we'll see, haha (and speaking of sunday school, I officially have a brand new student...the one that I wrote a while ago that could burp the alphabet). Another one I went to was biblical artifacts in U.S. museums and the last one was one looking into the book of Isaiah. All very interesting and enriching. I wish I could have gone to more, like the womens lectures. So the school was doubled in size. Student's families, pastors, missionaries, and the like. Very interesting.
Thankyou all who commented on my last post. My mom read each one out loud to my dad and they appreciated the different opinions. I think they are actually planning on moving up there in a few years..they are actually in that mind set now. Kinda scary. Now I just need to decide what I'm going to do. To go with, or to not go with?? I always thought that someday I'll end up living up there. It's just in my blood, there is no escaping it.
In other news...this is a pic of my new baby cousin, or 2nd cousin, Aubrey Marie. How cute is she?? I finally saw her for the first time tonight and she was born early-mid December. She slept the whole night then at last woke up and opened her pretty blue eyes. It has been like 10 years since we've had a baby in the family, so everyones real excited.

So... you sure should move up here. Right now. :) I'm glad I have a picture of your fine school... I could so easily visualize jondering lecturers roaming along the banks of the river looking for Stumpy.

Is her name actually Aubrey? Isn't that a boy's name?

And who's Aamia? Is she another Tracey or Alison descendent? You know, I actually knew that family once. One of them came to our house for a whole week a long time ago to visit Kendra, but since Kendra was in school, I hung out with her the whole week (I was, like, 6). I thought you all would really like to know that.

Alison's descendents...and YES her name is Aubrey! poor girl is gonna get that all her life =( I totally see it as a girls name but maybe because the first aubrey I met was a girl from south africa at school. And I'm glad you and my cousin had such a great bonding time.
